Oral and poster contributions are welcomed on subjects within the scope of the conference. Authors are requested to submit abstracts, no later than 30 of April, 2012, according to the instructions below.

Authors will be informed of the acceptance of their contribution and its presentation (oral or poster) before the end of April, 2012.

Abstracts of all accepted contributions will be published in the Book of Abstracts that will be distributed to all participants during registration.

Only abstracts of registered participants who have paid the registration will be included in the proceedings and in the book of abstracts.



Accepted articles to the conference will be published after the conference, following peer review, in the Journal of Instrumentation (JINST), which is an open-access journal managed by Institute of Physics and SISSA

Initial JINST submission instructions will be given later on. The deadline for paper submission is 15 of September, 2012.

Only one manuscript per registered people will be allowed.

Abstracts must be submitted electronically, in English via the form available on this website here, including the preference for either oral or poster presentation. You must first fill in and submit your registration form in order to obtain the registration code you need for the abstract submission. The code will be generated and sent automatically to your e-mail. Please mention which conference topic most closely represents the subject area of the presentation. Remember that the e-mail address for registration and for abstract submission MUST be the same. Get the abstract template here.




The size of the poster should not exceed A0, in Portrait layout. Authors will have the opportunity to discuss their posters during the respective poster sessions. Posters should be displayed on Monday morning and should be removed by the end of the Conference.


The time attributed to each oral presentation is 15 minutes + 5 min for questions. All technical material will be presented with a digital projector and a PC running Microsoft Powerpoint. We kindly ask you to load your file onto presentation machines at least one session prior to the one in which you are to present. Speakers should be present at least 15 minutes before the beginning of the Session in which they will give their presentation in order to introduce themselves to the Session Chair.
